So,

I thought I would have fun with my hair and dye it pink!
First I used feria in ruby rush, then pulled pieces through a cap and bleached them. The bleach turned my hair pale yellow. Then I slathered on some panic manic in hot pink. My hair ate up the color and it was soooo bright!!!
My husband loved it, but it seemed to scare most other people.

I really hated the base color!!! I will never use feria in ruby rush EVER again!!

I lived with the bright pink for about three weeks and it did not fade one bit!!
I decided I couldn't live with that coppery ruby rush base so I bought Revlon Colorist in Dark auburn on ebay.
It arrived a few days later but the developer had ruptured!!!
I then took the tube of color to sallys beauty supply but they said they couldn't tell me which developer to use!!!
I then went to a place called R&R beauty supply, bought l'oreal preference in Lush Cherry and a bottle of developer. The lady there said I could try mixing the Auburn w/ Lush cherry if I wanted (just use 1 part color to one part developer) and that I DIDn't need to strip out the pink. At sallys she said I would need to strip the pink, and I've had more then a few bad stints w/ hair stripper so I REALLY DIDN'T want to have to do that.

Well, back at home I mixed 3/4 auburn w/ 1/4 cherry and the developer, left it on for a little over 25 min and washed it off.

The color came out awesome!!! It's a dark brown red with caramel highlights (from the blonde streaks), the pink was totally gone, and my hair was really shiny.

Revlon colorist comes with color gloss conditioner that makes your hair really soft and shiny.

Overall damage on a scale of 1-10 would be a 4, so not too bad all in all. My ends are dry but I've been using Ojon's hair treatment and that has helped.

I will keep buying my hair color from a beauty supply because the color mixing you can do is endless and it's way cheaper than buying a box of color (Cost about 8 bucks at the beauty supply) and you get better, brighter, longer lasting results.
